Parent-Child Fun Games Sebagai Upaya Meminimalisasi Smartphone Addiction Pada Anak di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract

The development of the 21st century ass growing rapidly. The use of gadgets was not only used by adults, but also by children. The purpose of this activity was to provide education to parents, teachers, and especially children about the importance of physical activity and the dangers of smartphone addiction usage. The method using the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. The total participants were 41 students and 9 teachers. Data collection techniques using Google Form, while for the material exposure using Zoom Meeting. The activity material used online presentations on understanding, information and knowledge related to smartphone dangers, as well as the benefits of physical activity. The results for an interest in physical activity were found in the Agree category of 25 people (61%), while 12 students (29.3) expressed Strongly Agree, 3 students Disagree and 1 student Strongly Disagree with physical activity. The reason for students who are not very interested in physical activity comes from their excess weight, so students are not actively moving and tend to be lazy to move. The conclusion of the Parent-Child Fun Games activities can increase the physical activity of students rather than just playing games on a smartphone. In the future, there should be regular monitoring and evaluation of student activities both at home and at school. Besides that, it is also needed a competition about traditional games that can increase the feeling of love in the culture and pride in physical activity.

Abstrak

Perkembangan zaman pada abad ke-21 semakin berkembang pesat. Penggunaan gadget tidak hanya digunakan oleh orang dewasa saja, tetapi anak-anak juga memiliki ketertarikan yang sama seperti halnya orang dewasa. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua, guru, dan khususnya anak tentang arti pentingnya aktifitas fisik dan bahaya kecanduan terhadap penggunaan smartphone. Metode yang digunakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Total partisipan dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 41 siswa, dan 9 guru. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan Google Form sedangkan untuk penyampaian materi menggunakan Zoom Meeting. Materi yang diberikan secara online dengan paparan presentasi dan diskusi melalui teleconference mengenai pemahaman, informasi dan pengetahuan terkait bahaya smartphone, serta manfaat aktivitas fisik. Hasil untuk ketertarikan terhadap aktivitas fisik didapatkan untuk respon dengan kategori Setuju berjumlah 25 orang (61%), sedangkan 12 siswa (29.3) menyatakan Sangat Setuju, 3 siswa Tidak Setuju dan 1 siswa Sangat Tidak Setuju terhadap ketertarikan aktvitas fisik. Alasan untuk siswa yang sangat tidak tertarik pada aktivitas fisik bisa berasal dari masa tubuh siswa atau berat badan berlebih yang dimiliki, sehingga siswa kurang aktif bergerak dan cenderung malas untuk bergerak. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan Parent-Child Fun Games dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fisik siswa dari pada hanya bermain game di smartphone serta timbulnya kreativitas dalam kegiatan sebagai media permainan dalam mengalihkan smartphone addiction. Kedepannya perlu adanya monitoring dan evaluasi secara berkala terhadap kegiatan siswa baik di rumah maupun di sekolah. Selain itu diperlukan juga perlombaan atau pertandingan tentang permainan tradisional yang dapat meningkatkan rasa suka dan bangga dalam melakukan aktivitas fisik.
